Coordinator Questions . . .

Why hire a coordinator?

Some of the top reasons to hire a wedding coordinator would be:

  • You want to handle most of the wedding planning process yourself (or may need a little assistance), but would LOVE someone taking charge on your wedding day so you don’t have to!

  • You want your family, friends, and your/your fiancé to enjoy the wedding as guests instead of working!

  • You want to increase the level of organization and flow on your wedding day!

  • Your venue requires a Day of Coordinator!

If my venue already has an event coordinator, why hire another one?

While the venue coordinator is looking out for the venue’s best interests, MirWood coordinators look out for YOUR best interest during the wedding day. We have worked many weddings where the venue has an in-house coordinator and we love working alongside them! There are certain things that MirWood coordinators will be doing that the venue’s in-house coordinator won’t.

What if I need help finding vendors?

We offer vendor recommendations and are able to help research any vendors you still need, especially if you are trying to stay within a budget!

Will we be able to meet the coordinator assigned to our wedding before the wedding day?

Yes! Depending on timing and availability, your coordinator along with MirWood’s lead coordinator will sit down and discuss all the details in the minute by minute timeline that MirWood creates for every couple.

Will my coordinator work alone or with assistants on my wedding day?

It all depends on your guest count size! Normally our coordinators can handle up to 150 guests on their own. We may recommend booking another one of our coordinators just during a portion of your event to help assist with decorating and managing guests if your guest count is larger than 150 and the set up/breakdown process will take longer than anticipated.

What all will the coordinator do on my wedding day?

From decorating to assisting other vendors to helping direct and manage guests, your coordinator will be the main contact point for everyone working your wedding! Everything involved in the coordinator’s duties can be found in our Day of Coordination package section!

How involved in the wedding planning process will you be?

It all depends what you need! We offer vendor recommendations and are able to help research any vendors you still need (especially if you are trying to stay within a budget), assist with creating the layout for the ceremony and reception spaces, and we offer several other services that can be added on to assist any further!

What duties is the coordinator not responsible for?

bussing tables, creating floral arrangements, hanging drapery, handling alcohol, steaming linens, replenishing food/non-alocholic drinks.

While everything is to be handled by someone else, we can manage those people to ensure it is setup the way the couple wants.
