Your Coordinator Questions Answered

Why Hire a Wedding Coordinator?

Some of the top reasons to bring a wedding coordinator on board include:

  • You want to take charge of most of the planning yourself but would love a trusted expert to lead the way on your wedding day, so you can relax and enjoy every moment.

  • You want your family, friends, and fiancé to be cherished guests—free from the stress of managing details or troubleshooting.

  • You desire a smoothly organized day where every moment flows effortlessly and beautifully.

  • Your venue requires a Day-Of Coordinator to ensure all logistics run seamlessly.

Having a skilled coordinator by your side means peace of mind, allowing you to fully savor the joy of your celebration!

If my venue already has an event coordinator, why should I hire another one?
While the venue coordinator’s primary focus is managing the venue and its operations, MirWood coordinators are dedicated to advocating for your vision and needs throughout your wedding day. We have extensive experience working alongside in-house venue coordinators and value the collaboration. MirWood coordinators handle many personalized details and logistics that venue coordinators typically do not, ensuring your day flows flawlessly and exactly as you envisioned.

What if I need help finding vendors?
We’re here to guide you! MirWood offers trusted vendor recommendations and will assist in researching any vendors you still need—especially helpful when working within a budget. Our goal is to connect you with the right professionals to bring your dream day to life.

Will we be able to meet the coordinator assigned to our wedding before the big day?
Absolutely! About one month before your wedding, your dedicated coordinator will schedule a detailed phone consultation to review every aspect of your event. During this call, you’ll discuss the minute-by-minute timeline that MirWood customizes for every couple, ensuring all your questions are answered and every detail is perfectly planned.

Will my coordinator work alone or with assistants on my wedding day?
At MirWood Events, we believe every wedding deserves impeccable attention and effortless flow. That’s why we provide two dedicated coordinators for every wedding—except for intimate micro weddings with fewer than 50 guests, where one coordinator is perfectly suited.

With two coordinators working in harmony, one can gracefully oversee the intricate details of setup and décor, while the other ensures guest experience and vendor coordination unfold seamlessly. This balanced partnership allows us to anticipate needs, swiftly resolve any challenges, and create a wedding day that feels beautifully effortless and perfectly orchestrated.

What all will the coordinator do on my wedding day?

Month of Coordination Package

From decorating and assisting vendors to guiding and managing guests, your coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for everyone involved in your wedding day. For a full overview of all coordinator responsibilities, please refer to our Month of Coordination package details.

What Duties Are Coordinators Not Responsible For?
Our coordinators do not perform tasks such as bussing tables, creating floral arrangements, hanging drapery, handling alcohol, steaming linens, or replenishing food + non-alcoholic beverages.

While these responsibilities fall to other vendors or staff, our coordinators oversee and manage those teams to ensure everything is set up and executed exactly as the couple envisions.
